Tissue Cards with Fun Stampers Journey

Whether you need some tissue because it’s allergy season or just because things are a little tough, it’s a great time to give tissue cards.

These little cuties hold a travel tissue packet . They also open and close so you can write a message and access the tissue. These are a cute little pick me up to give your friends and family or even a total stranger. Here are the items I used to make them and how to put them together.

Here’s a look at the inside of the card without the tissue packet.

To form the base you will need a piece of cardstock that is 9.75×4.25. Next you will need to score your base going left to right at 2.25 inches, 3.25, 5.5, 6.5, 8.75. This will fit most travel tissue packets. Then you will want to die cut an oval or rectangle out of the panel that is 2.25 inches wide, the one in the center. Burnish all your score lines and and adhere the last 1 inch section to the 1st one inch section. If you plan on stamping a pattern on your card stock like I did, then stamp before you burnish and glue the score lines, so your base is still flat. Once your base is finished, add some double sided tape to the back of the tissue packet and insert and stick it to the bottom of the holder you made. This will keep the tissue from sliding out, so your card will be portable. Make sure to open the tissue packet so the tissue can pop out of your opening and be easy to pull out.

Below are close ups of each tissue card and the stamps I used. All stamps are from Fun Stampers Journey, which is sold on the Spellbinder’s web site.

For this card I used the Spread Happiness Stamp and die set for the front of the card and the background stamping. The sentiment from the inside is from the Backyard Blooms Stamp set. I colored the flowers with Color Splash pencils, which are water color pencils. The base is Pineapple Smoothie cardstock with Lavender Fusion Gingham ribbon.

This tissue card has a base in Bubble Gum Cardstock. I stamped the background with the ATS stamp Ornate Blooms (no longer available). The front and inside sentiments are from the Divatude Stamp set. Black ribbon is from my stash.

I used Lavender Fusion cardstock for the base. The hydrangea and sentiments come from the Bloom Burst stamp set (no longer available). I used Huckleberry ink on the flower and Lemongrass on the leaves. The ribbon is from my stash.

I used Tin Pail cardstock, which is a really soft grey. I stamped it with the Flannel Life Background Stamp in Riverstone Ink. The critters are from the It’s Cold Outside stamp and die set. Inside sentiment is from Backyard Blooms. Ribbon is from my stash.

Fun Stampers Journey New Joyful Greetings Stamp Set

Hi Crafty Friends!

Fun Stampers Journey has a new collection coming out and it is Spring, flowers, and Easter! I bought their project kit Ready, Set, Spring. It comes with a large stamp set with matching dies, a small stamp set and a set of stand alone dies plus 4 cards kitted out with a info card. There is also a video on You Tube to show you how to put your card kit cards together. I decided to wait on the card kit and the Easter theme and make some cards for right now! Here’s what I came up with.

I made 3 note cards that are 4.25×4.25 inches and one A2 size card. On the note cards, I did some circular stamping or wreath building stamping. There are some cute small images in this stamp set that are perfect for this technique. For the A2 size card, I repeatedly stamped the heart from light to dark in 4 different ink colors to create the background. All the sentiments are from other FSJ stamp sets in my stash and are heat embossed in white. Two cards have ribbon or Nuvo Drops and one is a shaker card!

This is a super cute stamp set that is very versatile. I can’t wait to use it for Easter Cards a little closer to the holiday. Here’s what comes in the stamp set and there are matching dies available.

Supply List ( All FSJ product is available on the Spellbinders web site)

Joyful Greetings Stamp and Die set (available on it’s own 2/10) sentiments are from the following stamp sets Hey Girl, Letterboard Minis, and Penguin Waddle. I used the following inks Outrageous Pink, Sweet Berry, Candy Apple, Raspberry Berry, Rustic Rose, Bubble Gum, Lemon Drop, Watermelon, and Lavender Fusion.

Penguin Waddle stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey

Hi Crafty Friends!

I’m sharing a card today using the Fun Stampers Journey December Stamp of the Month called Penguin Waddle. It’s a cute set of 14 stamps including 6 different penguins, sentiments and accessories to dress up the penguins. Super cute!

Penguin Waddle from Fun Stampers Journey

I choose to use the penguin couple and to give them both glasses since my husband and I both wear glasses. I have them walking on heart clouds to give it a love or Valentine’s feel. To do this I used the Cascading Hearts Die.

Cascading Hearts Die from Fun Stampers Journey

To do this I used the die to cut out the hearts on white cardstock. I trimmed away the border so I was just left with the hearts. I used the hearts and Pool Play ink pad and added subtle cloud like hearts in the background with a sponge.

You can see the heart clouds better in this photo.

After I used the die cut as a stencil to make the heart clouds in the background, I then sponged on Bubble Gum and Sweet Berry inks onto the heart die cut. I used FSJ glue to adhere the hearts to my card panel and added foam squares to my penguin couple. I stamped the 2 sentiments. Then I mounted the card panel onto a foam panel and glued it to my card base. The card is standard A2 size 4.25×5.5 inches.
